Opening of AlpspiX

Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Yesterday the viewing platform "AlpspiX" opened at the Osterfelderkopf near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The two steel arms rise into the void.

The new platform "increases the attractiveness of the Wetterstein mountain range during summer even more", says head of government in Oberbayern, Christoph Hillenbrand, at the opening ceremony. The platform offers breathtaking views into the depths, which was reserved for extreme climbers only, up to now.
One of the extreme sportsman, climber Stefan Glowacz, protested against the observing platform "AlpspiX". To show his dislike, he attached a banner to the platform with the inscription "Our mountains don't need a flavour enhancer".
